Im reposting these pictures with a warning this time. You are currently on the Farm The Kootenays Facebook group. Farming. Gardening. Raising our own meat. Butchering. I wont be called cruel, disgusting, or heartless because we choose to raise healthy, organic, ethically raised animals to butcher and consume. If you dont like these posts, I suggest maybe you leave this group and find a vegan/vegetarian page instead. Do we enjoy killing? Absolutely not. Do we take pride in raising our own food? Absolutely. We hang out with our rabbits and chickens. We pet our rabbits many times a day. Our chickens like to ride along on our shoulders. I have cried every time one of our chickens has died and even sat in our living room with one wrapped in a towel while she was sick and eventually passed. Our animals are not raised without emotion. So this morning I woke up to Fluffys nesting box FULL of hair. Upon further inspection I see shes had her babies! I havent really looked too closely but theres between 6 and 8 :) some are pink skinned and some are black and white. :)
