Im reposting this with some new info: 1)In sept 2014 Clinical Commissioning Groups (GPs organisations) will be able to co-commission GP and primarycare services toether with NHS England. Despite obvious conflict of interes problems this will create. 2) This is all about sweeping away GP practices that dont fit in with the new locality primary/community health care & social care teams that are key to the CHFT Strategic Outline Case 3) The contracts they issue for Locality teams can by Alternative Medical provider Service contracts ie they can go to private companies like Locala (3rd sector), Care UK or Virgin Healthcare, rather than GPs 4) Voluntary Actoin Calderdale, which has the Calderdale Healthwatch contract, also has a £750K contract from Calderdale CCG to run Health Connections Calderdale. This funding is to train voluntary and community sector organisations to be business ready for tendering for Calderdale CCG contracts for Locality-based community healthcare and social care.
