Im sad to report, the dog I was trying to help save (Bronx) at CACC has been expired and his post removed from the CACC Transfer FB page. I dont know when Bronx was put down, but it must have been earlier this week as I just found out this morning after days of inquiry about his status. Most volunteers at CACC pick an animal they want to save and make it their priority. Time is short for a lot of these dogs that are a total gem and its very sad that bad people make bad decisions... especially when these people adopt a pet they are not ready for and return it... ultimately signing a death warrant to that animal. We cant save them all, but we can ALL do our part to ensure that less and less pets die alone and afraid for no good reason at all. Did you know, that expiring a pet at a shelter is not the same as when you go to the vet? In most cases, the animal does NOT receive the sedation first, only the does that stops their heart... which is actually a very painful death for the animal. Adopt. Dont buy. Spay/neuter your pets. Dont breed for the sake of making a few dollars. There are too many good dogs and cats as it is now that lose their lives.
