Im saddened by the comments that I read from some of my friends and peers. I have my feelings on this Ferguson issue, yes.. And Im going to keep those to myself. With that being said, I have read comments made by people that I believe to be of the utmost moral fiber, comments that spew hatred, and Im disgusted by it. This hatred stems from racism and a mind set on a race being better than another. It also stems from a feeling that somehow my skin color changed your future or that a people are held down (oppressed). Now Ill never be stupid enough to ever believe that racism (scratch that) race hatred, will ever be completely gone, but the only way that we as a human people will survive so our childrens children can inherit this planet, is to stop acting like victims.... Stop listening to hatemongers, stop believing the press, stop believing that either someone (or ourselves) are less than. Stop believing that someone finds lesser value in you because of your skin. I despise living In a Society where someone looks at me and because of the pigments of my skin, predetermine that I either hate them or they hate me. And believe me... I hate a lot of people... And its not because of their skin color... Its because of their lack of empathy and respect for their fellow man. Black power.. White power... Stop it. As far as Im concerned its time for lights out. Stand up for your fellow man. Put your hand on his back and and say... I got you. #stopthehate
