Im seeing a lot of these Please, everyone, pray for so-and-so posts. I havent been a christian for a few (many) years (thankfully), but I dont recall anything in the book about the power of prayer lying in the numbers. Has there been a biblical update? Is gods new rule that if you can get 100 people to pray for a good outcome via social media, you get a positive outcome? 250 people praying scores you a free miracle? And 500 people praying wins you a pony? Also, does more than one prayer a day coming from the same individual count? Or does the big guy only count one prayer a day for an individual? Do ministers, preachers, and priests get more prayers? Where do nuns fall in the prayer count vs prayer power debate? Maybe everyone only gets one prayer. Also, can I send up multiple prayers and have them all counted if theyre for different things? And do some prayers pull more prayer power if theyre for something like feeding a homeless child vs having my football team score a touchdown? On that note, do I have to pray harder if I want my football team to score the WINNING touchdown vs a standard successful, but non-winning touchdown? This prayer thing is getting complicated. I pray that it makes sense before the Steelers start their new season. Please pray with me. (I could really use that pony!) Amen!
