Im sharing my friend Grahams video here because its an important thing to remember the next time you want to hurl abuse at someone simply because they cant hear. I met G in college and I honestly couldnt tell you how much Id have loved to communicate with him in sign instead of using texting or Facebook. Sign language is such a beautiful language and he inspired me to pick some phrases up myself. I love the looks on people faces when I can understand what theyre saying to me and when I respond in their language, even with my limited, out of practise signing Bullying people in general is disgusting, but to bully someone because they cant hear? What even is that? It doesnt make a person any less smart or wonderful just because they communicate differently. The deaf community is a wonderful community and Id happily back them up till the end! ✌
