Im sharing this in the hope that everyone who reads this signs the petition. Tammy was two years behind me in college, worked with me extensively on the college newspaper, was an incredibly talented photographer, and a patient teacher, who taught me most of what I know about photography. What happened to her is a tragedy. I have been haunted by her death, not only because I considered Tammy a friend, but also because the day she disappeared on Interstate 80, I was driving cross-country to law school in the opposite direction. I often think of how I must have passed her that day as I drove from Grinnell to Chicago. Whether her car had already broken down, Ill never know. But I always think about how fortunate I was that it was my car that broke down on that highway. If there is information in the Illinois State Police files, it should be released so that Tammys killer might be found.
