Im shopping for a new barrel for my 870 and I dont speak shotgun barrel, so please, can yall help me figure out which is best for me? I need an 18 - 18.5 for a 12g. A choke is good right? improved cylinder, rifleing what? There are police barrels, tactical barrels, wingmaster barrels, security barrels........... beaded site, rifled site, ghost site..... Goodness gracious!!!!!! I just need one damn good all around shorter barrel that I wont have to replace again. Ever. :) Model 870 extra barrels with 2-3/4 chambers will fit Super Magnum, Magnum and 2-3/4 receivers. Use only 2-3/4 shells in these barrels Model 870 extra barrels with 3 chambers used on Super Magnum and Magnum receivers will handle both 2-3/4 and 3 shotshells only.
