Im sitting at the kitchen table on this sunny San Diego morning, drinking my coffee while reflecting on my miraculous adoption reunion weekend. I have a new family who welcomed me with open arms, love, laughter, craziness, and pure joy! I have my family Ive been with all my life who told me when I was 4 years old that I didnt come from mommys tummy, I came from her heart and that Im special because I was chosen. Because of them; the DNA test my mom had me take, the phone call to the adoption agency by my dad to start the search for my birth mom, the support from my sister and everyone else...I am having this incredible experience! There arent enough thank yous in the world! I have my family that I married into who struggled with me at first and now love me deeply, as I do them. I have an incredible circle of friends who are just like family...because family is in the heart. Lastly, I have the family that my amazing husband and I created with so much love. My husband Jamie has been my rock through every wild emotion of this journey and our daughter Tatiana has been my ray of light through all of it. Tears are pouring down my face as I write this because through all the ups and downs of my 49 years on this earth so far, one thing has never changed...its always been filled with love. As I start this new chapter of my life with my birth family added to it, I can only imagine how amazing its going to continue to be! Im embracing every moment and every person in my life. Thank you to each and every one of you. I am grateful and beyond.
