Im sitting in one of my favorite coffee shops in what some would consider the hip part of town. Filled with tables for four, the room is full of typing 20 somethings doing business all over the world. Some are surfing their I phones while periodically modifying their laptop project. Occasionally someone asks the resident of their adjacent table to watch their stuff as they pop off to the bathroom. I marvel at the unique trust of this tablemate friendship. Do they trust each other because they have a similar lifestyle or is it that their computer is equivalent to shared cubicle office space back in my day. How can this be the same world of mistrust and deception as I watch this gesture of respect repeated over and over again as the coffee is physically recycled in a timely fashion. Theres a unique balance of energy within these walls. Dress and conversation lean to the casual. Conversations tend to be theoretical and verbally animated. Niches of organized, fragrant clutter as the walls reflect a wide assortment of exotic coffee labels and specialized teas. Personally, I love the table heights that are perfect for typing and scribbling with chairs casually firm enough for prolonged sitting with near by plugs if your battery is running low. Over the last few years Ive tried to guess who is the tea or coffee lover. Are they straight forward in seeking a Columbian Dark or more an Ethiopian or Morning Sky? There are over 30 local blends and 18 enchanting teas! In a land so bountiful in choices, lifestyles, and vision how can we not appreciate of freedom to choose what is right for us as a country. Express your unique vision of tomorrow and encourage the others you trust to do the same ... cast YOUR VOTE this election day. Then stop by your favorite hang out to catch up! Where do you go to connect? I like Henrys on East .. Downtown Indy.
