Im sitting on the couch. Suddenly I hear the bottles on the side of the couch clanking around. Must be Blini, the cat Im housesitting with, messing with the liquor bottles Chris stores next to the couch on the floor (Paris apartments tend to be small like NYC apartments, so storage space is at a premium). I figure it will pass. It doesnt pass. Half a minute goes by, bottles still clanking. I get up and look, and there is the poor cat, upside down on top of the liquor bottles, splayed out like a kittie centerfold, unable to right herself as the bottles clang back and forth as she wriggles helplessly, sinking ever deeper into her glass prison! I have no idea what she did. I think the towel on the chair nearby was maybe hanging over the bottles so Blini figured the surface was solid! It wasnt. I felt so bad for her I couldnt grab my camera and leave her splayed out like that, so alas there is no photo of the epic fail. Brilliant cat, but man is she a magnet for trouble ;-)
