Im so disgusted by the way people (military/civilian) respond to our president. I watched his address to the UN today and it reminded me so much of JFK and MLKs thoughts on our generation. I am proud to be in the armed forces, Im not always proud to be an American, Im not always proud of our history as Americans, I am not satisfied with our government all the time, (state/federal) Im not happy with the haves and have not class system we have created in our economy, and I am completely against our developing police-state; however listening to our president gave me a sense of pride in our nation this morning that even tho our actions and our history may be bad... It is up to us to keep striving to fix ourselves... Racial, religious, or political... We are Americans, and we (as a whole) need to step up and fight for what we need our country to be! Thank you Mr. President for reminding me of my place in the world as an American soldier and citizen!
