Im so excited. I just accepted an offer on the horse facility from the couple that visited last week from California, they offered exactly what I wanted. Im financing them so we just have to decide on closing, payments and review their application but I think if we can find a win win situation for both, it should be a done deal. I will keep my house and 8 acres across the street from the horse facility and Ill become a boarder with my 5 horses since they have lived here all their life and will hopefully die here of old age. It will be nice to have company in the barn again and I think she and I can cover each other when we want to travel. She seems as picky as me about horse care so Im hoping eventually I will be able to travel some and enjoy some of the other hobbies I had before having the program and farm. They will move in the late spring 2015 to make it easy on the horses since they are in the desert now, she didnt want to bring them right before winter. There is 40+ acres on that side of the road so there will be plenty of room for building a cabin/house to live in. I still have the animal loving couple renting the 2 steel barns and an acre of land, they have put an apartment in one and they hope to close with their purchase by October 2015. Sounds like 2015 (19 years after buying the farm) will be a big year if all goes well. It will be so nice to have less responsibility and less to worry about. Ill still be doing my horse full care and helping her but that is so much easier than having it all, taxes and insurance will do a major reduction. Yay!! Looks like we will continue to use Foster moms for horses being returned from adopters so we can continue to watch our adoption horses in their homes. I do need to find a wonderful home for lil Tuffie, though I have a feeling the facility buyer may adopt him. Everyone that comes here falls in love with him. Its a waste to just be sitting here doing nothing, hes such a love bug. I hope I can be a good boarder, that will be a big change. Still hoping to do the Ole Mares Home eventually and fill this home with all the single/widowed ladies needing a place to hang their head. Keep telling my sister Peggy Breakiron and cousin Melody Kinser to sell their homes and move here once they decide to finally retire. Like Diana Greenhalgh always says, Im always thinkin up something! Hopefully happy days ahead. Cant wait to actually be able to go somewhere, Im becoming completely socially inept.
