Im so excited! Lily asked me to buy her a recently retired American Girl doll, Ruthie, from eBay for Christmas. She really liked her story and her moms name is Lily. I started bidding on them and lost a few. I picked my top price and bid more aggressively. I lost. The dolls began going up in price, a lot. They are now selling for more than the cost of a brand new doll! I am determined and frugal. I scrolled through a ton of pictures of dolls not labeled, hoping for one that looked like Ruthie and noticed a Rebecca doll who looked a lot like Ruthie. She was called a Rebecca by the seller and had on Rebeccas dress, but her watch looked like Ruthies and so did her handbag! I pulled up Rebeccas face and Ruthies face online looking for the differences because the hair was to dark to use definitively. Ruthie has curved brows and Rebecca has straight ones. Back on Ebay, I checked... Curved eyebrows! I bid on the mislabeled Ruthie doll dressed in Rebeccas clothes and won her (as the only bidder) for a 3rd of the price the other Ruthies are selling for! I can buy her original dress for $5-$10 if Lily wants it.
