Im so glad that the Wyoming county school district cares about us. So far this year they have decided to make us put our phones in our lockers under retarded pretense (which didnt bother me too bad,) introduced the idea that we dont get to take our bags to class, and told us that we cannot wear our class a dress uniforms to graduate in. I am truly disappointed with Wyoming county for making these decisions in some respects. It costs five dollars to get a locker at east, at St Albans our lockers were free. As for the bag issue, the bags provide functionality and a better opportunity for success, as it is easier to pack around all of our school items in the bags. The county board declared that we have to get a cap and gown to graduate, that we cant graduate in class a uniform because of the strong traditions involved in the cap and gown. Im not implying that the army tradition, which has lasted for hundreds of year by the way, is stronger than that of the cap and gown. What I will openly declare though, is that nobody has EVER fought or died in a cap and gown, with the exception of really violent graduation parties of course. Whether they let me wear it or not, I know for a fact that the VALUE of army tradition should at least hold some merit in the eyes of our educators. I would like to thank the Wyoming County School District for once again showing their true colors, and showing us how much they really care.
