Im so glad there isnt any INFLATION! (that is sarcasm). I see prices rising all the time. Of course, the government would disagree - the government STOPPED considering price changes in food and gasoline as part of the measurement. This way, it APPEARS there is little inflation, when there really is. Between the drought and the horrible winter (both of which has really affected both animal ranching and plant farming), prices of food are expected to increase by as much as 10%. Of course, the govt. has NO control over the weather patterns, but administrative policies to have an affect on jobs and salaries and whether or not people can afford to feed their families after paying for housing, utilities, etc. Interesting comparison between 1913 and 2013 - the annual rate of inflation change between 1913 and 2013 is 2199.6% so $100 Million (with an M) in 1913 would be equal to $2.299.63 Billion (with a B) in 2013 dollars. When comparing money over years, the inflation rate must always be a part of the calculation.
