Im so happy I went out dancing tonight. I was on the most crowded Latin dance floors I have ever been on (hot, sweaty, heels stepping on my toes, elbows in my face, bumping butts, sweat flinging in my eyes, overwhelming) and there were many impressive, professional dancers all around. I was told by at least 5 people I have never met before that I was the most amazing, talented & impressive dancer they had ever seen! Beautiful women kept asking me to teach them, and men said they were too intimidated to ask me to dance so they just wanted to watch. They did not believe that I did not have lessons. I kept thinking, Me? Really? And it felt really good to be the sober, single one and drive over an hour there and back by myself. Im home now at 4am and I have so much energy I could dance another 24hrs! When I was in grade school, we had to do career projects about what we wanted to do/be when we grew up. I chose Professional Dancer. My 8th grade poster board is still here in my room. It made me smile to look at it when I came home. Maybe Im not far from my longtime dream after all (even though I feel I have a long way to go, tonight was very encouraging). I shall go to sleep with a smile in my heart.
