Im so sick of hearing people say I deserve. What ever happened to - TopicsExpress

Im so sick of hearing people say I deserve. What ever happened to I earned? I was raised in a low income home. I started mowing at 13 to buy the clothes and shoes I wanted. Bought my first car myself, paid my own insurance and joined the National Guard at 17 just for GI Bill money so I could go to college. After HS graduation I worked full time and took night classes. I took every furthering education class I could from my previous employer. I gave up hours with my family, at that time, for a better future for my kids. When that company closed I took a better job with a bigger company. Its not perfect but I thank a God every day for the job I have. I have a 17 year old daughter who has more work ethic than anyone I know. She is a senior, has taken every advanced class offered, does sports and still stays up till midnight nightly doing homework. Her efforts paid off with her becoming a Governors Scholar. Why does she work this hard? Because she wants a better future. Im now teaching my son these same values! So when I hear I deserve, They should give me because look how much they have, or Its not fair you have or get it just ticks me off. If you chose a job digging ditches, flipping burgers, working at Walmart or working in a factory you should be proud of those jobs and thank God daily because it could be worse. You chose that occupation, it didnt chose you, and you accepted that job for the wage that was offered. If you dont like your current job use it as a stepping stone to a better job you EARN for yourself through HARD WORK and dedication. Gain knowledge and asked questions. Make yourself a more valued employee. No job is beneath anyone if you do it honest. Give 100% in everything you do. America is slowly becoming a land of the give mes and hand outs. We wonder why so many illegals want into the US. Easy answer: The US has became a free ride for those who wish to do nothing except ride on the coat tails of those who have EARNED what they have. GROW UP AMERICA!
