Im so sick of the news media. Theyve spent the last three weeks getting the public lathered up over the Ebola outbreak dangers. They instigated the general public overreaction to the threat. Then practically forced our idiot politicians to overreact by showing 24/7 coverage of TWO people infected here in America because we had no national public health policy to maintain control over this kind if virus. This morning they are making sure they have plenty of coverage of the poor health care worker imprisoned in isolation after returning with a fever from Africa where she treated infected patients. Shes been in isolation over the weekend and already had lawyers ready to file injunction because her constitutionally protected civil rights have been violated. But we are really the ones to blame. We allow them to do it because we are too lazy to take fifteen minutes and actually Google some basic information on this virus. The internet is useful for more things than posting selfies of every meal we eat. And more importantly for repeatedly sending the same idiots to Washington after they have done nothing for the last three terms. They only have three jobs. Protect the people from dangers foreign and domestic, promote interstate commerce, print money (they actually do this rather well). Until we take the time to find out whats actually happening around us and elect competent people to public office this is what we deserve and just what well get.
