Im so tired but sleep aint happening... Derrick amazes me daily but at the pharmacy he told took my breath away! I was getting his meds filled and a Vietnam Vet walked over and sat down at BP machine... Derrick being Derrick said Hi... Next was the most extraordinary words to come out his mouth yet- I see youre a veteran like my dad; Im sorry nobody hugged you or told you good job when you came home from the war like they do now! I just want you to know I appreciate your service sir. The gentlemans eyes spoke volumes as he and I exchanged glances... How old are you young man? Im 4 but almost 5... The gentleman thanked Derrick by touching his heart and said to tell his dad thanks for his service too!!! This hung with me all day and even now touches my heart to tears leaking down my face... Who knew Derrick knew about Vietnam?!? He sounds every letter and word he sees... Hes older than we know... How he reach out to this older gentleman and touched our souls, I stand all amazed! What a blessing he is! If hes great now, what will he be like when hes grown?!? Nite to all... Count your blessings and name them one by one...
