Im so tired of reading ignorant statements about the Federal Government having no right to interfere with the will of the people in Oklahoma, starting with our uninformed Governor. Thats EXACTLY the federal governments job. Thats EXACTLY the job of the court, to protect the people from violations of the Constitution, to prevent a majority from infringing on the rights of a minority. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL to vote to deny rights to our citizens. It would be unconstitutional for Oklahomans to vote to deny the right to vote to women, it would be unconstitutional for Oklahomans to vote to deny the right of a white woman to marry a man of a different race. Its called checks and balances, and it IS the job of our third branch of government. Take a civics class Mary Fallin.
