Im so torn up about France right now. Todays events happened a mile from where I spent an amazing week earlier this year. Now Im sitting at LAX waiting to fly to Australia, somewhere I have wanted to see for quite some time. I am able to go there because of art, because of trying to feel something, and then make something from those feelings. Because people responded to that and gave something beautiful to me, the ability to pursue something Im passionate about. The reality that other people were involved in a similar pursuit and were murdered for it is just so crushing. Im sitting here feeling so much sorrow and so much gratitude at the same time. I feel so safe and so scared. Its such a beautifully conflicted human moment. Im grateful beyond words for the vast majority of you who are pouring so much love into the world. I feel so much sadness for the people who are adding to the pain instead of finding that love. #jesuischarlie
