Im so very grateful for all the birthday shout outs, texts, and phone calls that I received on yesterday! It was a bittersweet day as well, whereas, I was truly-truly grateful for another year, it was also the year that I was not able to hear my BFF voice. Leading up to my birthday was really hard but each and every one of you played a very significant part of my day, truthfully not just yesterday but in my life. Im truly grateful for my upbringings from Calumet and Harbor (E.C. Cardinals all day!) neighborhood. As I have had an opportunity to look back--if wasnt for my past I truly wouldn’t be the person I am today. I feel sometimes we say that out of impulse but REALLY what does that phrase mean to you. I grew up the first 19 years with very little blood relatives around, being a kid that was hard but look what God has blessed with me, my blood relatives on both my mom and dad side and he still (GOD) set fit for me to have connections to all those very important non blood-related family members. I am truly blessed and highly favored. When an opportunity presents itself, I often tell people, “God will send you WHATEVER you need and he can also send you a FAMILY and Im a living witness, he did it for me and can and will do for you!” This post is lengthy enough but I must add, my last two phone calls of the evening sealed my birthday and those two calls are worth mentioning from my friend Tara M. Allen Adams and my god mother Denise Neal! Have a blessed day!
