Im some time dumbfounded and perplexed with American hypocrisy and double standard. Its in the news that USA refusal to sell Nigeria arms is because of human frights violation, especially in the prosecution of war against insurgency. US is fully aware that the terrorists are the worse violators of human frights. How can you talk about treating these bloody thirsty fellows with international standard of prosecuting the war. Is America not aware of how these terrorists slaughter people, abduct, rape women, burn houses, rendering hundred of thousands of people homeless. Who propped up Hosni Mubarak that ruled Egypt for 30 years, violating all human rights of its citizens by brazenly killing and jailing people and suppressing and oppressing them. Was he not kept in power by USA and its allies? Hussaini Saddam of Iraq was made a monster by US. It moved against him because he no longer protected their strategic interest. Was US not assisting Al Queda to fight Russia. It was when the terror group was going beyond its brief, threatening its other allies in the Middle East before US moved against it. When I quoted copiously a document on this thread sometime ago about the US having a hand in the atrocities of BH, some people were totally opposed to the story. Already US intelligence had some years ago predicted the break up of the country by 2015. What is happening now fits in in their calculations as they continue to make it possible for the realization of this objective by refusing to supply arms and come in full force to assist in the destruction of these terrorists. Why would US want Nigeria Balkanize. Its simple: the various nationalities constituting Nigeria cannot be effectively managed to guarantee maximum return on investment or to ensure maximum exploitation of its resources because of perpetual ethno - religious conflicts that pervade the Nigeria landscape. They erroneously believe that smaller political units will be better Managed with minimum crisis.
