Rest In Peace Momma, I love and miss you, until we meet again Barbara Jean (Linney) White, age 70, of Rising Star passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star with Terry Simmons officiating; burial will follow in the Rising Star Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday night, July 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains. She was born to Lester Ervin and Jewel Juanita (Kinsey) Linney on October 6, 1943 in Midland, Texas. She was a cook of some renown, and owned and operated Whites Restaurant in Rising Star for over 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her four daughters, Angela Denise White, Laura Marie Alexander, Melisa Susan Evans, and Rebecca Lhea Clay all of Rising Star; one son, Gregory Glen Clay of Rising Star; one brother, Billy Linney of Rising Star; four sisters, Carolyn Chambers of Brownwood, Sandra Hutton of Rising Star, Deborah Chambers of May, and Patricia Hutton of Rising Star; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
