Im sorry to post this so often, but we would so appreciate your votes on our force free training photo contest, at this link: photoscramble//contests/icff/entries/Petguild/ingrid-bock On Mondays Im always especially obsessed with training questions, because weve just come from agility (shown in the upper left hand photo in the collage--thats Devi, who was rescued from the NYCACC death row with less than 12 hours before her date with the executioner--we will be forever grateful to Susan Paal-Zenkavich and Juliet Tan for helping me adopt her, and Id love to be reminded by them of who else helped us at SCR--my memory has dropped some names). Today our agility teacher said that Devi was (ahem) maybe just a leetle chubby, and if SHES chubby, some of us others here are more so, so we are all lightening up, getting ready for serious exercise season. I entered this contest because I wanted to work on giving ALL my dogs equal training time, and the contest worked on me exactly as it was supposed to, and I am now going nowhere except to bed without my bait bag (and usually a clicker). I have learned that you train your dogs all day long--opportunities for shaping behaviors pop up every few minutes. My dogs are very happy with this new regime, and so am I. Whether or not I win anything in this contest, I will continue learning as much as I can about force free training, but some of the prizes here would be extremely helpful. So your vote will be greatly appreciated! Im in 5th place right now.
