Im starting to notice a trend with English lyrics Korean Pop - TopicsExpress

Im starting to notice a trend with English lyrics Korean Pop songs. Is it just me or does the Korean release (like on the music videos) sound more FOB (heavier accents) than the international release? Im not hating on the accents, I listen to a lot of Asian and European music but having two versions leads me to believe the American versions are recorded using ghost singers. Take this song for example, the music video sounds so different from the MP3. I can tell the music video was recorded using Korean artists bc of the audible accents but the version I got sounds like the Pussycat Dolls. I know there will be the argument that maybe they just made a second version to be Western friendly but hold on a second. South Korea is not an English speaking country. It would take years of language coaching to get the accent close to right. And lets say they did all that and got it right...then why would you make a release with a Korean accent? Think about it, if you are an American performing a Spanish song, would you record a version in good Spanish and in bad Spanish? This leads me to wonder if the refined version was even recorded by them. youtu.be/doXnuStEf2I
