Im starting to wish I could vote yes in the upcoming referendum for Scotland. After living in Glasgow for 2 years I have quite a few Scottish friends on Facebook and now everyday I see post after post about it. I (and the rest of England) really dont care what Scotland does. Im just sick to death of seeing all the arrogant, small minded Scots blaming the English for everything wrong with their country, such as stealing their money and sending it to London.... As for the numerous idiots that quote a line from a movie as their reasons for voting Yes. Jesus Christ. William Wallace did NOT actually say you can take our lives but you can never take our freedom. It was written by Randal Wallace for a 1995 movie. Ffs. I can also vouch for the fact that Glasgow is full of homeless, drug addicted drunks that litter the streets day and night, there are bags and bags of rubbish lying around the streets constantly, rarely collected and it is currently going through a rape epidemic. Oh, not to mention the fact that I had to take my passport to the gp for a checkup because of the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants in Glasgow, they have to ID everybody. Iv never experienced anything like it in Newcastle. Now Im not saying that England doesnt have these problems but the amount of Scots raving on and trying to depict England as dragging Scotland down are very, very sorely mistaken. You will have just as many problems independently as you do now. Go ahead and vote yes, I hope you enjoyed your free prescriptions and university tuition (that the rest of us paid for) while it lasted.
