Im still a bit overwhelmed at all of the new info and options for Cody. The one vet says we NEED to use Lantus because that will help him go into remission. Im just now starting my research on which insulins seem to be the best for cats. I know that the other vet I use prefers vetsulin. The cheapest I can find Lantus is $288 and there is no way that is affordable right now let alone every couple months. The vetsulin is much much cheaper however I dont want to chose a medication based on cost alone. I want him to have the best treatments possible however I do need to be able to afford them. Im also researching all of the best can food options for him as well. I guess my questions to you guys is what insulins do you use and does anyone know a significant difference in why one is better than another?
