Im still reeling with shock, anger and pain after i saw what female prisoners go through in Sudan under Omar Al Bashir..... Naked women in prison cells, full of mud, flies all over the place, no proper bedding but sleeping on concrete floor and no compassion and concern what so ever from the Sudanese government....Most of the ladies are sentenced to death under strict Sharia Laws over marrying Christian man and are forced to convert to Islam or be sentenced to death... South Sudan is no exception.... Flawed processes, unlawful detentions, and dire conditions in South Sudan’s prisons reflect the urgent need to improve the new nation’s fledgling justice system. The vast majority of detainees at South Sudan prisons have no legal representation, because they cannot afford a lawyer and South Sudan has no functioning legal aid system. Judges pass long sentences and even condemn to death people who, without legal assistance,who are unable to understand the nature of charges against them or to call and prepare witnesses in their defense....... Between North & South Sudan, i have no idea who is worse for it but just hope that eventually we will be able to treat each other with the dignity and compassion every fellow human being deserves in this worls irrespective of color, creed or nationality....
