Im still stuck on Saturdays Elimination game .It amazes me that the Second most penalized team (redskins) in the NFL (131 flags through 14 games) goes 59 mins of game time with only 2 flags for 10 yards meanwhile My Eagles Were penalized 13 times for 102 yards. Penalties aside The redskins played a pretty bad game 305 total yards 2/9 on third down . while my eagles piled up 495 yards of offense 9/16 on 3rd down including a 3rd & 15 & 3rd and 25 on the same drive both conversions coming after holding calls .Im not excusing our kicker but With the turnover battle being tied (2-2) and the eagles only punting the ball twice to the redskins 3 times , its clear the officiating played part in this game. I watched flag after flag destroy our season and cant help but believe that the nfl is fixed 88.7 penalty yards against us over our last 3 (all coincidentally losses) 24 yards more than our season average 64.0 per game.Players play the game the refs control the game and in the end no matter what the League wins. In Sports Entertainment Come playoff time the hype is bigger than ever and anything is possible Unless of course the story line becomes bigger than the game i.e, Hurricane Katrina Where the Saints made the city believe again or 9/11 sparking the Patriot dynasty.
