Im struggling to sleep, so I thought Id share the following... There are many positives to living in the city. But I must admit that there is so much, the average city comuter doesnt notice. The vast amount of homeless people that sleep on the street daily, is astonishing. I merely stepped outside my building earlier tonight on George St and saw a young child with their mother on the floor. I couldnt help but give her the $40 I had in my pocket. She was hugged me and said: Thank you for helping us, we have food and a roof for a few days now. It put tears into my eyes and I told her that I was happy for them. Truly saddens me, how this is overlooked by so many of us on a daily basis. Afterall, the only difference between them and I... digits in a bank account.
