Im such a bad American. Last week I heard about common core for the first time. I have been looking at videos. It sounds like big brother is trying to take control. I belive our rights as Americans are being taken away a lot faster that I had anticipated. So idk if anyone else has looked into the whole scam. Seriously. If Im wrong please someone show me. It doesnt not matter what you believe we cannot let the government dictate and have complete control over certain things. I have heard from all sides about comon core and nothing is good about it so far. Besides the fact their is a national standard. In order to have a national standard the children that are advanced in certain areas will be held back and the over all education level will be... so that anyone can pass at the same level... Ok example I could care less about grammar and punctuation so the ones of you that hate this paragraph. Well hey you can just deal. Thats a little out of context but still. Bobby Jindal ( I really dont know much about him) but he tried stopping common core in the state of louisiana because its not legal. Their is even a lawsuit. How many didnt know this? The Governor said he didnt not want to take the curriculum because it takes away the parents rights. And the la government pushed it through anyway. I understand the politics someones getting paid. Seriously though. LA education is low its bad but at what cost at what sacrifice will we sit by idly and not take action. Lets let the government take complete control of our education and with a lower standard I should add and take away the childrens unique gifts and talents. If a child is advanced and wants to pursue a special trade or even mathematics let them do it. I never went to school in texas but I like what I heard about the options for the high school students. So Im iv been working 12 hour shifts. Im tired and Im not checking the typos.
