Im sure I am not the only one who feels like this, especially people from the South. I am utterly frustrated that in my reach out to find out about my ancestry on my Fathers side with proof of my Cherokee blood. I learn that his Father didnt even care to acknowledge his heritage nor do they even keep contact anymore. Finding it online is nearly impossible going with just the surname of Dean. And anywhere I look there isnt a pricing for DNA testing. And even then, my son nor I will never be able to legally declare ourselves native to this land within our genealogy because no one in my familys past seemed to care to keep track. Its literally almost to impossible to try and prove this at this point on my own. Well... there it is. Tried and failed. :( #WillNeverBeRecognizedNative
