Im sure Im going to get some blowback for this, but I really dont care. All over the world Muslims are protesting ISIS. Loudly proclaiming that they believe in peace. Yes, there are bad Muslims, but the calls Ive seen lately for us to round them all up and kill them all are embarrassing! You CAN NOT say to kill them all and claim to support the Constitution in the same breath. If they are an American citizen, they are guaranteed the same right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and to due process as the rest of us. Do you get to decide which religions are evil? If you support doing it to the Muslims today, someone else will support doing it to you tomorrow. And I want you to note, these people speaking out against ISIS, they are painting a target on themselves. I fully expect to hear about some of them being killed over the next few weeks. If youve been to the Middle East, youve probably seen first hand the level of hatred that the radicals have for those that dont believe the way that they do. Some of them will consider these protestors to be worse than infidels. Bottom line, dont buy in to the paranoia. Being free isnt easy, and having liberty isnt always safe. In a free country, there will always be threats, and eradicating Muslims is not going to magically make you safer. There are millions of Muslims in America, and the percentage of them that are committing violent crimes is smaller than the percentage of gun owners that commit violent crimes... and in case you forgot, that number starts out with 0.000... His Afghan interpreter charged alongside him into the fight, saving American lives and killing Taliban fighters. There are many cases like this throughout the war on terror, where local nationals (pretty much all of them MUSLIM) have fought and died alongside our men and women. If you know me, you know Ill still mock the radicals. And yes, radical Islam is a serious threat.
