Im sure everybody would jump on the Pedro band wagon if he got hot - TopicsExpress

Im sure everybody would jump on the Pedro band wagon if he got hot at the plate. Management has too much invested in him to give up on him. His trade value at this point has to be at rock bottom. They must feel that they have to keep putting him in the line up to save face and he does something to raise his trade value. To all the Pedro lovers out there - He is a head case that will never reach the dominant level that was expected when he was drafted. Believe me, I wish he could. He refuses to change his approach at the plate and go for more contact and hit to the opposite field. I suspect he has some what of a vision problem because he very, very seldom recognizes the curve ball. He expects everything to be a fast ball between the knees and mid thigh. Occasionally he catches up with a belt high fast ball but whiffs on fast balls above the belt to the top of the zone. Accept the fact that he has not developed into the Monster clean up hitter and Gold Glove 3rd baseman that they project him to be. Accept the fact that if he does, he wont sign another Pittsburgh contract anyway. They need to make the best deal that they can, trade him and move on.
