Im sure everyone is seeing rumors fly around about Colletti in the hot seat over the Dodgers early exit in the playoffs, and he should be. Colletti has basically had 2 1/2 yrs with the deepest pockets in sports behind him and the team took a step back this year! Yes, for the second year in a row, the Dodgers overcame a huge deficit in the division trailing the Diamondbacks by 11 last year and then the Giants by 9 1/2 this year to win the division both times, once by 11 and this year by 6. But only winning divisions isnt what ownership wants nor do the fans, we want world series championships! Its true that Dodgers ownership is looking at Tampa Bays GM Andrew Friedman since Gerry Hunsicker, top executive for the Dodgers, is still Andrew Friedmans top advisor and could convince Friedman to come to L.A and take over Collettis job. Hunsicker could possibly replace Colletti for the interim if Colletti is indeed given his walking papers, and if ownership has in mind of a new GM, this could happen within the next few weeks to give time for the new GM to make trade and signing decisions to improve this team.
