Im sure many of you have seen the articles about the Mens Conference. As the days roll on you will see more and more articles. They may be infuriatingly off topic, or softer. Either way, do not get attached to how they show up for you. Recognize, nice or spice they are all benefiting the Mens Human Rights Movement by creating conversation and opening the pathway of connecting with each other in how we move forward supporting men and supporting all of each other in the creation of healthy human community. As we move forward and as the reality that men do need support continues to come into the forefront there will be many who are confronted by this and many who support. If we focus on receiving the supporters and guide each other on how we can create in our world what men need and support systems men need to be safe, healthy, happy, successful, loved and celebrated, that is where we grow as a movement, that is how we help men, that is how we move forward with success. What I learned from this weekend and my own experience is if we push new journalists and the curious but skeptical away when they are just starting to get their feet wet in the movement, there is no possibility on supporting clarity. Whether they do or not is entirely up to them but to give them the possibility is entirely up to us.
