Im sure no doubt some people have seen all of my recent friend editions on Facebook and have been wondering what is going on. Some may even have been turning your nose upward in disbelief. The people I have been adding are people that I either grew up with or served in the military with. After finding out these last few months that there have been people in my life who have passed or in trouble and me not knowing for years, or months, or even days, I realized that it is important to stay close to the people who affected your life in one way or another. God uses them to help mold your life. It doesnt matter whether they are Atheist, agnostic, Catholic, or whatever else it is. Even their sin doesnt matter. I realize that Jesus died for their sins like he did mine. These people can help me stay informed, and allow me to be a light to those who would sometimes not have one. It doesnt mean that Im super close to these people, but I would say that I trust some of them more than I could some Christians. I love being a Christian and especially love the people in my life since becoming one, mainly Jesus. I understand separation and being sold out. Though Im not perfect and may fail in these areas sometimes, I also understand that God tells us to love our neighbors as ourself. He tells us that if we have friends, we must show ourself friendly. Even Jesus was criticized by Pharisees and his Apostles for being around sinners. Not in sinful places, but sinners. The apostles did not know why he was talking to the woman at the well, but there was a reason. Jesus said he must needs go to Samaria. I am in no way close to Jesus, but I am to strive to be as Jesus was. If I refused to talk to anyone because they arent Christians, then I fail as a Christian to show others that what I have is something worth having. We are here to make sure that everyone can see Christ, and the best way to do that is let his light shine through us.
