Im sure we all can admire a young child who can sing her heart out and in the same respect we can all admire a child who can use their voice to speak up in the world of abuse against those who neglect them. . This song has many different references or meanings and I guess hearing this song covered by a child it speaks to my heart about the stories we hear where children have come out and told someone about their life and what they endured in neglectful surroundings.. I hope that with all the awareness about children dwelling in painful silence that as parents we instill the bravery in our children to speak up when or if something traumatic (heaven forbid) should ever happen.. We read story after story and though some chose not to read or share the horrific news headlines I really hope those who do or dont can still encourage the little voices to speak up loudly about anything and not be afraid to do so..
