Im sure you have all watched this commercial since it comes on multiple times a day. Let me give my review of this commercial Positives: the little kids are cute Negatives: The little kids have a phone at nine years old. That bugs me. Why would a nine year old kid need a phone I mean where are you gonna go, what are you gonna do that you need a phone? To answer some might say extracurriculars or going to a friends house. In school I was in Chorus for three years and I got rides home without a cellphone Simply by going to the school office and using their phone or my parents or emergency contact would call in and make arrangements If you want to get your child a cell phone it can be very basic a few important contacts without all the extra apps The lack of interaction The mothers are sitting at one table and the children are sitting at another and they are both so engrossed in their phones not really looking up or saying a word when I was young I would talk to people even if I was shy thats how I made friends and communicated Also mom would at times get me involved in grown up conversations and it made me feel important and special because they gave me their time and interest I love methods of technology Ive grown up around and learned so much. It opens so many doors and opportunities but I hate the fact that it is not used in moderation. In fact it seems to suffocate us and thats a scary thought. Technology is a useful tool but we cant forget to live communicate and be around each other End rant
