Im taking this as a sign. Remember a year ago, when I was trying to save the life of my high school history teacher by finding her a new kidney? Well heres what happened since: We got many donors. One of them was thought to be a match. She came to Florida and in the course of testing, was discovered to have a cancerous tumor on her own kidney. Read that again: By being so kind and volunteering to save my teacher, her own life was saved. Another potential donor, a decorated Army veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, was sadly rejected because he had suffered two traumatic head injuries while at war. And today, just now, my history teacher emailed me to see if I could reach out to you, our loyal readers, to find a willing kidney donor. Its two days before we launch Lost History and this teacher, Mrs. Sherman, is the one who gave me my love of history. So.
