Im that guy. The one who grew up on Bon Jovi & Motley Crüe & lives & dies by Rock N Roll that lives in Nashville & plays in a known country/rock band, enjoys country from time to time, but still lives & dies by Rock N Roll. Yup, Im that guy and there are many of us in Nashville. But the lines are so blurred these days in the Pop Country genre that it allows for guys like me to move right in and do My Thing without compromising what My Thing is. For example, Im sitting in the seats right now at the Blossom Music Center amphitheater in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio at sound check on the Dierks Bently tour barley able to hear my own thoughts, because Depeche Mode is blaring over the PA at soundcheck. Now its Rage Against The Machine. Again, blurred lines.... Thank you Robin Thick. But all in all Im from Louisiana & have country music royalty in my bloodline #MickeyGilley & Rock Royalty #JerryLeeLewis So its only fitting that life would find me right in the middle celebrating the best of both worlds. #DNA I never would have seen the Country Thing coming when I was younger, but Im truly blessed & grateful for all the experiences & opportunities Ive had in my life. Celebrating music in all its forms, but holding Rock N Roll just a little bit closer to the heart than all the rest. Its still the only thing that can give me goosebumps & raise the hair on my arms. Ohh..... And it doesnt stop here. New Blair Gilley Rock Record coming in Nov. And currently working on new material for the new year. Music is life & life is moving along just fine in all avenues. But...... #1 in all of this is OLIVIA BLAIR SHEPHERD GILLEY!!!!!!! Miss you, Love you, Thank you Daddy That Guy And to Robin for graciously helping me live my dreams.
