Im thinking about going to work writing for Buzzfeed. Let me know what you think. TEN SIGNS YOURE TOTALLY FROM THAT ONE CITY 1. You and all your friends still miss hanging out at that one place when you were teens. (With all that fun stuff to do, who wouldnt?) 2. You know that one restaurant and that other eatery that dont look like much from outside, but has absolutely the best food of its kind in the world. 3. You always laugh when out-of-towners mispronounce the names of those three streets and two suburbs that arent pronounced the way they look. 4. You can immediately remember where you were, and who you were with, and what you were drinking, when that local sporting franchise won That Really Important Game. 5. You and your crowd all know that that one area of town used to be the absolute best place to go on weekends about ten years ago...until they went and gentrified it all. 6. You and your crowd all know that that other area of town used to be the absolute best place to go on weekends about five years ago...until the hipsters and douchebags started taking over. 7. You and your crowd all know that that third area of town is the absolute best place to go on weekends these days...and you hope the gentrifiers, hipsters, and douchebags dont find out. 8. Absolute best memory - getting drunk with the gang at the local concert venue with that great local band playing, and that other good local band opening up. (Whatever happened to them?) 9. You know better than to hang out at that one area of town after dark - unless youre looking to get shanked, get shot, or get hit on by a drag queen. 10. Despite all its faults, you immediately get nostalgic (and even a bit misty-eyed) every time you see any of those four local landmarks.
