This position is a part-time 29 hour per week position with no benefits. This position provides customer service to students, faculty, staff and all members of the college community. The position serves students and faculty with technology applications in the success lab, circulation services and basic reference services. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends. Duties include but are not limited to: circulation and reference assistance, intercampus and interlibrary loan services, manage patron accounts, instruct patrons in the use of the library catalog to include a wide variety of information resources, check out/in materials using the integrated library system (ALEPH), log in newspapers and magazines, and assist with reserve materials, assist students with online student information system, course management system, and email; and performs other tasks assigned by the college librarian. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service skills; effective communication skills with a diverse population; experience using a variety of computer applications and software; and ability to learn new technologies associated with learning resources and experience working in an educational setting. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Prior library work experience; familiarity with the Integrated Library System-ALEPH.
