Im thinking this may be my favorite Genesis song ever. It is overflowing with gorgeous pieces of music. The main Kings Theme the forlorn yet ironically majestic build at 53 seconds in, the jubilant explosion at 2:00, the supercharged heavy riff and shred solo to follow it, and then the absolutely stellar melody at 3:18. Its moods and textures are an exercise in contrast between the authentic glory and splendor of old England and the glory and splendor many thought still remained, but is slowly being sold by the pound.
