Im torn. Im not sure if I should be happy or annoyed. All of my author friends know how extremely difficult it is to get reviews. We also have the worry of pirates out there, but thats kind of a different subject. My strategy for avoiding pirates is to only gift ebook for reviews or prizes directly from Amazon. It might not work but thats what I do. I never send files of any kind to folks and I dont use the sites that allow you to select the type of file you want. So I pay out of pocket for those ebooks. Its for this reason that its upsetting when you send out ebooks to bloggers and book pages in exchange for an honest review . . . and the review never comes. Today I received a message from a blogger that said, I just finished reading Loving Jack. I wont be doing a review. It wasnt for me. What can you say besides thanks for the heads up? I mean, at least she bothered to let me know, right? I sent out 20 ebooks. Only 4 of those have resulted in reviews. Makes me wonder if the book is so bad that people are just being kind by not giving me a bad review. So I dont know if I should by annoyed that I gave you a book in exchange for an honest review or if I should be grateful the bloggers havent torn me apart. LOL! Book world problems! Okay. Im over it now. Definitely not annoyed. I just want everyone to love my work and show it with sterling reviews. LOL!Thats never ever going to happen. Stupid thicker skin is taking too long to grow.
