Im traveling home today after a wonderful trip to see some amazing women. Traveling by myself always has a little déjà u to it and is sometimes extremely emotional for me. 5 years ago I boarded a plane alone after a work trip and my husband was killed the next day. This rise of emotion is part of my living damage from loss. I process it, let the wave come, and allow myself the inconvenience of tears as I make my way through a busy airport terminal. These emotions dont make me weak, nor do they mean I havent moved forward with my life. These emotions are simply part of a rich tapestry that mix and blend and add vibrant color to a beautiful work. Life post loss is complicated and at no point are we healed or all better. Over time the tsunami recedes more quickly and I have learned to ride the big wave. ❤️ ~1fw
