Im truly embarrassed by this, swallowing my pride and here it goes.. HI, my name is Lacey. Im 29 years old and I reside in Edmond OK. I am a single mother of 4 small wonderful children; son 9, daughter 7, daughter 5, and son 3. I am reaching out because I am in need of guidance and prayers as well as assistance in providing gifts for them this year. We are fairly new to the area, have been living in Edmond for about 18 months now, absolutely love it, and Ive always worked very hard. Completely shocked and unprepared, I was just terminated from a new job opportunity on December 1st after being with the company for only 45 days with literary no explanation at all. Im still So confused! I have always been able to provide for my children myself, and have for many years now. Not being able to give back, nor provide for my own this holiday season is heart wrenching and devastating. My family is not local so at times it becomes very difficult. Coming across this FB page has given me some hope and the courage to ask for help. I have never reached out for help in a situation like this before so I am a little hesitate and bit ashamed. I do get assistance from DHS for food and daycare, which Im truly greatful for. I have learned that through my struggles comes strength, and I believe in everything happening for a reason. So I continue to fight, with my head held high for Im a woman of faith and I know that this too shall pass and that greatness is ahead. Im completely blessed to have what we have even in my toughest of times. My situation may change, but my faith,love and determination never will. With this all said Im praying I havent missed a deadline, or any opportunities for offerings. I dont expect a lot for them by any means, my children know and understand the true meaning of Christmas. Therefore, I will not provide a wish list and we will be thankful and greatful for anything we may receive.
