Im truly honoured to have discovered this company and to be a part of its mission... Here is a heartfelt post by my friend and peekaboo beans founder, Traci: Im on a mission to create change. Recently a local School instituted a ban on playing games (or anything) that had children touch. Like tag for example. Humans are destroying play - like we destroy the earth. Lets be a voice for the importance of play. Technology is taking over homes and connections and key communication. Children need play to learn. Risk assess. Problem solve. Learn coping skills, socialize, create, imagine, develop, navigate, and evolve! I also believe mothers need to be better supported in the workforce so I am on a mission to change the way companies think about family in the workplace. No one misses a field trip at Peekaboo Beans. I want mothers to have the ability to be entrepreneurs so they can call the shots in their lives and be everything they want to be for their families and yet not have to sacrifice the amazing skill set they have outside of being a mom. As a stylist with PB I have been able to stay home with my beans - have the flexibility to homeschool Ava - help raise the funds to build a playground in Afghanistan (over 3000 children have a safe place to be kids now!!) and keep my children clothed in the worlds most comfortable (and cool) play wear.
